Art created in harmony with nature

Momoko. botanical artist

In my nature atelier, I craft botanical color objects using local sheep wool and botanical inks on paper, with hues derived from freshly foraged plants and dried botanical ingredients. My work enhances and frames a more natural experience in both public spaces and private settings.

As a botanical artist, I collaborate closely with the breathtaking and powerful essence of nature. My current focus springs from my early love for color and the outdoors, alongside my experience as a colorist. In that role, I designed trend color lines for the global creative paper industry, creating these by hand for large-scale production, sold worldwide. I also developed new paper types, innovative collections, and products, crafting visions and strategies for major companies and institutions.

During a business trip to Japan to promote my new paper types, my business associate Ouchi-San in Osaka affectionately nicknamed me Momoko-san, meaning "peach"—soft on the outside, with a spirited core.

Now, Momoko is the name under which I create freely.

Momoko. botanical art offers a transformative perspective that resonates with the caliber of institutions like MoMA. It not only enriches collections but also captivates audiences with its unique narrative and connection to nature. Momoko. welcomes the opportunity to collaborate and bring this vision to your esteemed museum, enhancing the artistic dialogue within your spaces.
